MICHELIN
Ein Stern: Hochwertige Küche

Tucked away in the vibrant city of Galway, Aniar offers an extraordinary dining experience that pushes the boundaries of modern European and Irish cuisine. Renowned for its exquisite attention to detail and a menu that speaks volumes of creativity, this restaurant impresses every guest with its farm-to-plate ethos. Chef McMahon, known for his personal touch, often visits tables to engage with diners, sometimes offering a signed edition of his book.

Aniar promises a culinary journey of 24 distinct courses, where each dish is a masterful piece of art. Among the unique features, two of these courses come eloquently paired with matching poems, enriching the sensory experience. The elegant and cozy atmosphere sets the perfect backdrop for an intimate solo dining experience.

Their extensive wine list and offerings of beer, coffee, and dessert accompany the high-end dishes effortlessly. The professional, yet warm, staff ensures that every detail is meticulously attended to, which justifies the high-end price tag of over 100 EUR per person.

Though reservations are essential at this popular spot, Aniar has rightfully earned its 4.6 Google rating. Its bright and krasen ambiance, along with free Wi-Fi for those solo diners looking to relax, makes it worth every euro spent. This isn't just a meal; it's one of Galway's most incredible dining experiences, where surprises await at every course. Highly recommended with closed eyes, Aniar stands as a testament to the art of fine dining.

Good dinner in a tiny restaurant where everything is prepared with Irish ingredients. Tasting menu to travel through the tastes of West Ireland with Irish drink pairing. Crab, fish, duck, tomatoes, mash potatoes with mushrooms, see weeds, cheese with a fig, forest strawberry dessert, ice apple wine and so much more. However, the service is too intrusive and feels too commercial so we liked the food but not really the overall atmosphere. I don’t think I would go again

I went to Aniar to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was my second visit to Galway and I had heard about the restaurant before. I am an experienced foodie, but this was my first Michelin restaurant. It was Amazing!!! The ambiance was relaxing and the details were exquisitely attended to. Every dish was accompanied by custom plateware that enhanced the senses. The 24 dishes were each individual works of culinary art that left you yearning for more. Chef McMahon visited each table and when learning it was my birthday gave me an autographed copy of his beautiful book which is an ode to Irish cuisine. Thank you to the entire staff for this crowning moment of my birthday week celebration!!!!
