Had high expectations upon arrival. The place looked cozy, modern and had a industrial interior. My food choices were selected a week in advance, pork belly and grilled entrecote.
Personally, I prefer fattier pieces and more simple marinades. Which is not that common, but it is my preference. Unfortunately the pork belly disappointed in both marinade and the tenderness, 6 stars out of 10. The entrecote was chewy and the bearnaise sauce was a bit overwhelming, plus the main course was kind of small. I’d have thought with those prices, you’d get more food. Main course gets 6/10 as well.
I’m not mad, but I will defenitely order something else the next time. For example, the salmon starter and the rib eye (my company’s food) was excellent. Absolutely fantastic.
The obvious highlight was the BBQ cookie. So creamy, delicious and comforting! 10/10 and I will dream about it in the future.
Honestly, what made the experience so iconic was our fabulous waitress Phoebe. She deserves a MASSIVE raise and a hell of a tip. I would come back solemnly to hang around her amazing vibe. The Roast club, if you know what’s good for you - never let go of that superstar.
