We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Ong Gie on 29 August 2025. What an amazing experience. It's a humble and small restaurant that over delivers with their service and the food. We ordered a good portion to share between which came quickly and was one of the best dining experiences we've had in Edinburgh. What I can't praise enough is the service. Really attentive staff and so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I can't really do justice to how good this place is, just get yourself down there. 10/10

I’m not a Korean food expert at all, but the meal we enjoyed was quite simply one of the best meals I have ever had. Unfussy and unpretentious, but incredibly tasty. The fried chicken was perfect - not dry or greasy and cooked immaculately. The dessert (off menu) of cinnamon pancakes and ice cream was outstanding. The service was incredible with the most incredible staff. This restaurant utterly deserves its reputation and they have a dedicated customer for life!!
