Lovely to see restaurants in Edinburgh with halal menus. @makiramen has an extensive halal offering along with a range of vegan and vegetarian options making it suitable for most dietary requirements. Sarted with the pumpkin croquettes which were the best we have tried followed by chicken yakisoba and steak tataki. The potions were very generous and flavourful and we could have eaten platefuls of the crispy chicken karaage it was that good. The steak tataki had the right amount of spice in the broth and was cooked very well. Also recommended is the watermelon lemonade. And it had to all be finished with banana fritters and ice-cream. Light and crisp. We went to the Leith street branch which is walk-ins only. The service is lightning fast from Adrian and the team so you won't be waiting long even if there is a queue outside.
