By far the best place to eat Japanese food in Edinburgh!😍 First of all, it’s a family-run restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, simple, cozy, and you instantly feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious : we’ve never ate gyozas this good in our lives ! The sushi pieces ( sashimi and maki ) are excellent too : big, generous, and top quality, just perfect. Special mention goes to the Japanese katsu curry chicken, which was simply divine! On top of that, the prices are incredibly reasonable for both the quality and the quantity you get 🙌🏼 (And the playlist is great, just like the lovely staff) Highly recommended, you can go there with your eyes closed!

Luckily Hakataya just caught our eye when walking down Rose street! I had wagyu nigiri for the first time and then some wagyu ramen to follow. Both were fantastic love love love!
