5*s for Open Mic and good vibe. 0*s for the rapid downward trajectory of the draught beer choices. Dont come in too often nowadays, but came in for a beer last night, caught the Open Mic which was excellent, the performers were great, really nice mix of older and younger musicians, really good vibe, noise level was perfect to hold a conversation whilst still listening to Rosie and the others, staff were friendly as they normally are. However I used to enjoy getting the guest tap, but that was removed, and I liked to corp lager, however that was also removed, now along with the other Tiny Rebel beers, so the tap choices are multiple generic lagers, 2 ciders, 1 IPA and Guinness. Which if I'm not mistaken are the set ups of every other run of the mill pub. I thought this was an independent? New owners seem to be sucking the life out of this place.

A nice lil hidden gem with a real mix of cool independent traders. I had the vegetarian Sunday roast today and it was class.

Just had a wonderful Sunday roast, it was one of the best I have had in a long time, it was made with fresh vegetables and roast potatoes and the gravy was delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was made from scratch by the chef and was amazing. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great, I will definitely be returning to this little gem of a place in Canton.
