Fresh off indulging in rich Belgian waffles in Brussels, my sweet tooth was still rumbling. So I trotted over to Amorino in Cardiff (11 St John Street) and was immediately charmed. Their artisan gelato—smooth, authentic, and beautifully crafted into that iconic rose cone—was just the contrast I needed. The chocolate, pistachio and mango combo was especially vibrant. Even though the portion felt a bit modest for the price, the flavours were clean and genuine, a lovely, refined follow‑up to Brussels’ indulgence.
