Doughnuts are very much mediocre and start at £3.5 for a plain jam one. They’re tiny and taste like something from a supermarket bakery. The shop itself is clean and pleasant but the quality just simply doesn’t justify the pricing

My friends and I visited Alex Gooch after our friend who lives in the city recommended that we MUST go. The food was outstanding! I had a chocolate croissant which was both generous in size and rich in buttery flavour, as well as a "pulled pork" sandwich which I can safely say was the best sandwich I've ever eaten. The staff were very welcoming and chatty. Vegans and non-vegans alike, we thoroughly enjoyed - so much so that we returned on another day of our weekend trip to Cardiff! :)

Only went to get this kinda caramelised croissants and was one of the best I’ve had in a while/ ever. Super crisp exterior and fluffy soft and buttery interior, only wish it wasnt so pricey (3.90 for about 1/3 size of a regular croissant priced at 3.20)
