I absolutely love this place! The food is not only delicious but also made with fresh, organic ingredients they grow and harvest themselves on their own farm — and you can really taste the difference. Every bite feels like it’s made with love and care. Such a unique and wholesome experience that you don’t find in many places these days. Highly recommend if you’re after authentic Persian flavors and a beautiful farm-to-table experience!

Inititally I was hesitant to order from here, as there are not many Persians in Cambridge, and was afraid that it would not be suitable for someone like me, who is from Tabriz, Iran and was scared it would be more for a western palate, the food is authentic, and I beg of you if you wish to try real Persian food, order from here! I placed the order the night before as ordering requires 24 hour notice, I ordered Kashk-e-Bademjan (an eggplant dish that is topped with kashk-which is a sort of dried yogurt). Often many restaurants in the UK do not make this in house or cut corners, this was not the case for this, it was freshly made, warm, and the oil used to top the dish was of high quality. The eggplant itself had a lovely pleasant texture, that truly shows that it is homecooked food. I also ordered Sholezard, which is a Persian Saffron-Rosewater rice pudding, the texture was perfect, not too runny or and not too thick, with the perfect amount of almonds and cinnamon on top, a true homemade tasting sholezard. I also received Bastani Safrani, which is Persian ice cream and I was pleasantly suprised to see it had the frozen clotted cream, which is really rare to find even in Iran unless you go to a pretty expensive gelato store! I also ordered their homemade quince jam, something I have missed dearly from my beloved Iran. It contains cardamom and rosewater, while I have yet to try it with bread. The aroma is strong of Quince and a relatively passionate cardamom note with a hint of floral at the end. I tried it with a spoon and I remembered breakfasts I would have with my grandparents. The quince pieces are still there, soft and juicy, the taste is as beautiful to its aroma in a sense the cardamom is more muted compared to its aroma, but gives it a lovely fragrance in the mouth, and the rosewater comes at the end. The quince is absolutely lovely, I am going to have to try their other jams, the food is authentic, delicious and felt as if I had received food from grandma packed delicately in a parcel, but I must admit the jams are better than my maman’s (grandma)! Will be ordering from here regularly!

My Persian Kitchen is a hidden gem in Cambridge! The food is absolutely delicious with full of Persian flavours that remind you of home. Every dish is cooked with care and tastes freshly made. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone who misses home. They’re also so kind, and the customer service is GREAT!😍
