The cafe was already good since it opened. Lovely atmosphere and superb location. Delicious food. Now they’ve opened for evening food too and the food was very impressive, they must have an incredible chef. The waiting staff were all amazing, just the right balance of attentive and efficient. The warmth and charm of the manager Lisa was the cherry on the top of a very very lovely evening. I’d recommend the evening experience without hesitation. Thank you!

Been a couple of times now, what a great find being new to Brighton. Amazing lunch menu or great just for tea and cake, staff are lovely and welcoming, it's a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Have heard they're extending their opening times looking forward to trying their dinner menu soon. Food quality is 👌🏾 10/10

The Reading Room is set in an ideal location and has quite a lot to offer food wise. We unfortunately didn't have the best experience on both occasions we've visited. The atmosphere seemed quite chaotic and the staff seemed overwhelmed with the demands (it was super busy on a Sunday) and the staff were visible stressed. On our first visit our coffees were missed from our tables order and on the second visit we were waiting close to 25 minutes for our order to come. Overall, I think the location is fab and the coffee was nice but the team could do more to ensure a less chaotic and more enjoyable experience.
