The new chef offers up a delicious combination of traditional roast with a twist. The deluxe roast pork has perfectly cooked meat, topped with a crispy crackling. Accompanied by home-made apple puree, a huge piece of crispy puffed crackling, and a unique and flavoursome take on stuffing.
The gravy is so good, you're likely to drink it out of the jug, and the Yorkshire pudding is exactly as it should be - fluffy inside with a crispy bite.
Vegetables include a big roasted carrot, crispy cavolo nero, roasted baby leeks and mange tout with the obligatory roast potatoes (herby and definitely cooked with some sort of meat fat).
The Lion & Lobster is reputably one of the oldest pubs in Brighton, with an interesting history. Google it! Full of character, it's a tardis with snug booths to discover, a downstairs proper pub, 1st floor restaurant and up another floor, a sunny roof terrace.
On top of all of that, it's a stone's throw from the beach, it's ideal for walking off the generous roast.
