Gatsby is one of those places where you walk in and immediately know you're in for a proper night out. It’s stylish, a bit flashy, but in a fun way—not pretentious. I went with a group of friends for a birthday and from the start it had that “special occasion” feel. The lighting, the music, the energy... everything just feels like a step up from your usual dinner spot. The food was actually much better than I expected for somewhere so show-focused. I had a really fresh tuna tartare to start and a steak that was cooked perfectly. The portions were solid and nicely presented, but not fussy. It’s not trying to be fine dining—it’s more about flavour and having a good time. There were a few vegetarian options too, which is always good when you’re in a mixed group. Drinks were a big highlight—the cocktails were creative and really well made. I had one with mezcal and chilli that was spot on. The wine list was decent too, but honestly, most people seemed to be sticking with cocktails or bubbly. As the night went on, the vibe shifted from dinner to party quite naturally, and it just kept getting better. The live show in between courses was super entertaining—singers, dancers, a bit of everything really. Nothing cheesy, just a cool mix that made the whole night feel like an experience. By the end, everyone was on their feet dancing near the tables. If you’re looking for a fun, dressed-up night with great food and proper entertainment, Gatsby absolutely nails it.
