Wherever you go in Barcelona, you won't be able to avoid the Las Ramblas boulevard. Here, passions and emotions run high, and among the pedestrians, you can encounter both important officials and ordinary swindlers.

While strolling down the boulevard, you need to keep a close eye on your wallet to avoid becoming an unsuspecting victim of pickpockets. The street, over a kilometer long, is divided into five sections, each with its own theme. The first Rambla, which means "riverbed" in Arabic, is famous for its old fountain. The second section once had many students and now features a bird market. Next comes the flower section with a plethora of shops and stalls brimming with the scents of peonies and roses, after which a leisurely walker will come across the oldest theater in Catalonia. The final section is adorned with a monument to Christopher Columbus, from which it's just a stone's throw to the sea.
