The clock tower, located in the Old Town in the Kaleici district, is also known as Saat Kulesi. The structure was built in the nineteenth century thanks to the efforts of the German Emperor, who presented it to the Turkish Sultan as a sign of their friendship.

The tower is divided into two tiers. The first is made of rough stone, arranged in a pentagonal shape with a height of eight meters. The second tier has a quadrangular shape, smooth stone at the base, and clocks as an antique decoration. There used to be a dome at the top of the tower, but today it is replaced with carved battlements. On the facade of Saat Kulesi, there is still a metal shield hanging, which served as a place for the crucifixion of prisoners. The clock tower is a popular spot for rendezvous, as it precedes the entrance to the park and the Old Town.
