Masa Square es un enclave que los ingleses de la zona conocen y aprecian bien, un recinto encantador que concentra la mejor oferta gastronómica de Gran Alacant (y de Santa Pola). Las cosas como son, buena parte de la culpa de la altura de ese listón la tiene el James Bar & Grill. Si por lo que sea acabáis allí os váis a llevar una sorpresa, platos elaborados con mimo y pasión, realmente generosos (vete con hambre... el que avisa no es traidor) y a un precio ajustadísimo. Nos sorprendió esta proporción calidad-abundancia-precio, rarísima de ver hoy en día. Pedimos la Coliflor Bang Bang (crujiente, picante, brutal), las costillas (jugosísimas y sabrosas), la panceta en cocción lenta (se te derrite el cerebro cuando la comes junto al acompañamiento) y el pollo estilo coreano (una delicia que se deshace en la boca). En los fogones está James, el dueño, que resulta ser un tío super jovial que pone todo su arte para que el cliente se vaya con el "Mmmmh..." en la cara. Menú y atención en español y un trato cercano y acogedor, un lujo a precio popular. Si no lo conocías ya estás tardando en descubrirlo.

Based on 2 visits. Week 1, 5 stars, one burger and one salmon meal - excellent Week 2, oh dear. Probably the worst meal I’ve had this year. Both my wife and I had from menu del día ‘Cajun chicken and chips’. The portion of chips would have been tiny on the kids menu and the chicken was dry, flavorless and about as thin as a slice of ham.
