Sanktuarium jest ważnym miejscem kultu dla Polaków i chrześcijan z zagranicy odwiedzanym przez bardzo dużą ilość pielgrzymów i turystów. Warto je odwiedzić nie tylko dla modlitwy ale by podziwiać ten piękny obiekt, zapoznać się z historią czy zwiedzić np. skarbiec. Szkoda tylko, że zarządzający nim paulini tak bardzo się zaangażowali w politykę i organizują cykliczne „cyrki” z liderami wybranych partii, dla celów innych niż krzewienie wiary… głównie materialnych, populistycznych i politycznych.
