A very well preserved example of a once defensive tower with arch that once housed machinery for drawing water up and into the city. This was a very important strategic part of the city walls and has held upwell considering it was partially submerged in the river for hundreds of years. There is some work needed on the stairs down to the playpark so be careful.

A classic looking water tower near Chester walls. We couldn't go in there as it was closed.
