A True Hidden Gem in the Heart of Swaffham Prior Under the new ownership (Simon) the Red Lion Pub is everything you want in a classic English village pub—and then some. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with genuine warmth by both the staff and the locals. It’s got that rare blend of cozy charm and character, with a roaring fire in the winter and a lovely garden for summer evenings. The beer selection is excellent, featuring well-kept local ales and a few rotating guest taps. They clearly take pride in their cellar. Whether you’re popping in for a pint or sitting down for a glass of wine, there’s something for everyone. It’s clear that the Red Lion is more than just a pub—it’s a hub for the community. Regular events, quiz nights, and live music make it feel alive and welcoming. You leave feeling like part of something. Highly recommend a visit—this place is a true treasure.

Great Beer Pub. About to get new management. Hopefully keeps the same standard.
