Nice pub for a quick drink, staff were welcoming and friendly. There is a stop outside for the sightseeing bus.

On a hot August day in 2025 this place was an oasis of cool air, tha nks to the air con behind my seat. Had the Steak and pale ale pie which was amazing. Creamy mash, 2 large slices of carrot and a to die for gravy full of flavour and meaty smells. Pushed the boat out and had the apple and blackberry crumble for dessert which came with a vanilla custard. Plenty of beers and 4 from the cask ales. But due driving didn't have one. Can't believe this place isn't busier, lovely and quite, with great service and even better food.
