There were 8 of us eating. We all ordered at the same time but they were bringing plates of food out and taking away plates where people had finished. We were the only ones in the pub eating and we did not see food being taken outside. When my husband mentioned this at the bar he was told they were extremely busy. We did not see this. One of our party ordered steak and after 10 mins they came out and said they had none left and to choose whatever he wanted off the menu! He had gammon that was £3.50 cheaper. We had to mention this to bar staff when they cleaned the table. Very reluctancly they said he could have a dessert or drink but we cannot give you money back. This showed poor service. Food was good typical pub food.

My first visit and a very warm welcome in a charming old historic pub. A great venue for such events !
