5 Stars – A Truly Special Community Pub The Golden Fleece in Horningsea is a real gem — a community-run pub with heart. The staff are always incredibly welcoming, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and the food is consistently high quality. The portions — especially for the vegetarian roast — could be a little more generous, but the quality more than makes up for it. What really stands out is their hospitality. When a close friend passed away, they went out of their way to support us during a difficult time. They welcomed us with kindness, allowed us to hold a wake there, and even sent us off with a drink for the after-gathering. We genuinely couldn’t have found a better place to be. Thank you to the team for always making us feel at home. Highly recommended.
