About

Clärchens Ballhaus is a restaurant in Berlin that's worth a visit even if you're not looking to eat. At the beginning of the last century, it was a dance hall. Interestingly, you can still see echoes of the past in the interior. Everything is slightly aged, the walls are adorned with vintage posters and silver tinsel. During the day, they serve pizza and pasta, and the evenings are dedicated to dance enthusiasts.

The restaurant sees all its visitors dancing, including both young and older couples. Many dressed in themed costumes. You can find out about the theme of the dance evening on the restaurant's website and come in a corresponding look, matching the style of a certain period. The establishment's regulars include both locals and tourists who travel from London and Amsterdam. They fly to Berlin exclusively for the chance to dance on the famous dance floor, and return home in the morning.

An atmosphere rarely found anywhere on earth. The garden is wonderful, the ball room outstanding and service impeccable. One of a kind. Why not five stars you ask, the food is not as good as it should be. Top tip, book in advance.
