It’s worth visiting for no other reason than to experience the grinch behind the counter. Sandwiches are typical Subway, but what makes this place special is the dizzying heights of sheer attitude and passive aggression that one man can communicate simply by asking if you want an Italian BMT “with cheese and toasted?” Otherworldly. Like a sinister (but admittedly competent) Basil Fawlty.
