We had Sunday lunch at The Hare & Hounds and, overall, it was an excellent experience. The food was cooked extremely well and was delicious; the ambience and views from the pub and terrace are superb; my only slight negative was the service - although every individual member of staff was friendly and helpful, there were long delays in obtaining our initial drinks - in fact they arrived after the wine we ordered with our food, despite being ordered 15 mins earlier, and there were issues sometimes getting our server’s attention through the meal. I would not criticise the individual staff members, but there’s something wrong (IMHO) with the organisation with bar staff and other servers standing and not busy, but other servers with a lot of tables to manage being rushed off their feet. Some me better work sharing might ease the workload on others.
