TASTE THE DUTCH CRAFT BEER CULTURE

Arendsnest Proeflokaal, located at Herengracht 90 in Amsterdam, opened its doors on July 12, 2000. We warmly welcome you to our café, where we exclusively serve and pour Dutch products.

Did you know that there are over 900 breweries in the Netherlands in 2024? In our tasting room, you can taste 52 different beers on tap, exclusively from Dutch soil. Our selection includes a number of regular breweries we work with, such as Gulpener Bierbrouwerij, Two Chefs Brewing, De Kromme Haring, and Walhalla. In addition, we also have a lovely assortment of our own house beers, brewed at our own brewery Poesiat & Kater. Besides our tap beers, we also have a moderate amount (around 50 different types) of bottled and canned beers.

Apart from our beautiful selection of beers, you can also visit us for one of our jenevers. We have jenevers from Zuidam, Van Wees, and Filosoof Jenever. With a choice of at least 15 different jenevers, you can create your own Kopstootje!

Don’t like beer, but going with a beer-loving friend? We also have non-alcoholic drinks, wine, and cider on the menu. If you don’t drink alcohol, you can also order an alcohol-free or low-alcohol beer. To finish off your visit, you can indulge in one of our snacks – choose for example our classic cheese platter, a delicious smoked beef sausage or a tasty bag of nuts.
